The ASCO Cancer Foundation® International Development and Education Award (IDEA) program has provided 20 non-U.S. oncologists with the opportunity to travel to the 2009 ASCO Annual Meeting.
Alexandria, Va. –ASCO and The ASCO Cancer Foundation is honoring 11 community oncology practices for their efforts to improve care of people with cancer through increasing and enhancing patient participation in cancer clinical trials.
Alexandria, Va. –The ASCO Cancer Foundation will honor over 100 oncologists and oncology fellows with the International Development and Education Award (IDEA) and Merit Awards at the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s 45th Annual Meeting in Orlando. Both awards promote medical education, career development and clinical research to improve cancer care. All award recipients will receive funding to help with travel expenses to attend the ASCO Annual Meeting
Alexandria, Va. — The ASCO Cancer Foundation will present Merit Awards to twenty-five leading oncology fellows from around the world at the 2009 Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancers Symposium, which takes place January 15-17 in San Francisco. These bright, young doctors will be honored for their outstanding contributions to the research of gastrointestinal tract cancers.
Two ASCO members, recipients of the 2007 Advanced Clinical Research Awards in Lung Cancer, will receive nearly $1 million from The ASCO Foundation to pursue clinical and translational research in that field.
