These grants are given to community-based practices to support their efforts to enhance their clinical trials program. Areas of improvement are based on the American Society of Clinical Oncology Statement on Minimum Standards and Exemplary Attributes of Clinical Trial Sites (Journal of Clinical Oncology, May 20 2008).
Grant details:
- The grant period begins July 1, 2010, and concludes June 30, 2011, in addition to a six-month follow-up period for evaluation
- Grant proposals will be entertained up to $30,000, including no more than $26,000 for grant support, $1,500 for travel to the ASCO Annual Meeting, and $2,500 for overhead costs
- The grant funds will be directed to the community practice, not to an individual
- Grant recipients will be acknowledged at the 2010 ASCO's Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL
- Progress reports are required at six and twelve months. A final report is due at eighteen months
