A Global Community of Physicians

The ASCO Cancer Foundation and ASCO are non-profit, international organizations with overarching goals of improving cancer care and prevention and ensuring that cancer patients worldwide receive the highest quality of care.

One-third of ASCO’s 25,000+ members practice outside the United States, representing cancer care in more than 100 countries. ASCO’s international membership represents all oncology disciplines, including medical, radiologic and surgical oncology, as well as other practitioners with a predominant interest in oncology.

As the world’s leading professional organization representing physicians who treat people with cancer, ASCO is committed to advancing the education of oncologists and other oncology professionals, advocating for policies that provide access to high-quality cancer care, and supporting the clinical trials system and the need for increased clinical and translational research.

ASCO’s Annual Meeting is the world’s largest gathering of cancer care professionals.Typically, more than half of the professional attendees are from outside the United States.

More than 25,000 subscribers worldwide read ASCO’s Journal of Clinical Oncology. Special editions are published in seven language:  Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Turkish, Polish and Hungarian.
