Targeting clinicians in developing countries, the Multidisciplinary Cancer Management Course (MCMC) is designed to improve cancer care and promote a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. MCMC is aimed at physicians in countries where cancer patients are frequently treated by non-specialists. ASCO works with the host oncology society to tailor the MCMC content to the audience's needs and interests.
Developed in response to the pressing global need for training in the principles of multidisciplinary cancer management, the course addresses fundamentals of oncology, promotes the use of clinical trials as a means to improve cancer care and introduces a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care.
