Making progress against cancer through educated oncology professionals

The ASCO Cancer Foundation supports progress against cancer by disseminating knowledge and information through continuing medical educational programs. The ASCO Cancer Foundation funds a wide variety of programs, products and services that support the mission of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) to improve cancer care and prevention. The Foundation's support makes it possible to inspire ingenuity in research, invigorate new generations of oncologists, bring better treatments to greater numbers of patients, and advocate for policies that serve the interests of people living with cancer. None of the programs that support this important mission would be possible without the generosity of our donors and sponsors.

The following are links to some of the important programs The ASCO Cancer Foundation funds toward improving cancer care and prevention:

CME Meetings, Symposia & Workshops : With funding from The ASCO Cancer Foundation, ASCO continues to provide educational training programs designed to advanced high-quality cancer care and cancer prevention by furthering current knowledge in the field of oncology.

Online Education and Resources : The ASCO Cancer Foundation supports ASCO's online educational initiatives to provide the latest development in cancer research, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to our members and other health-care professionals involved in multidisciplinary cancer care.

Publications : With The ASCO Cancer Foundation's support, ASCO offers a variety of publications that are developed with contributions from leading oncology experts. These publications contain articles covering key issues and developments in the oncology community and serve as references for ongoing clinical and scientific research conducted by experts worldwide.

Cancer Policy : Legislative and regulatory issues have an impact on the daily practice of clinical oncology and shape both the health-care system and the quality of patient care. The ASCO Cancer Foundation provides funding to support programs at the state and regional levels designed to improve the care and treatment of patients across the country.

Grants : The ASCO Cancer Foundation Grants Program supports and encourages excellence in clinical and translational cancer research. This research funding program is among the largest of any medical professional society in the United States and has provided more that $55 million in grants for hundreds of innovative research initiatives.

Awards : The ASCO Cancer Foundation Awards Program recognizes high-quality clinicians and researchers, and promotes their career development by providing unique opportunities.

International : The ASCO Cancer Foundation provides funding that supports expanding educational, research, and outreach activities in the international community. This funding support allows knowledge in the field of oncology to bridge international borders in an effort to improve cancer care and prevention around the world.

The ASCO Cancer Foundation funds a wide variety of programs, products and services for the members of ASCO. This support allows for programs that inspire ingenuity in research, invigorate new generations of oncologists, bring new treatments to great numbers of practitioners and their patients, and advocate for policy that enriches the lives of people living with cancer and their families.
