The ASCO Cancer Foundation provides funding to support a variety of ASCO online educational resources that make it possible for busy oncology professionals to keep up with the latest research and developments in cancer.
Online Abstracts: Meeting abstracts on ASCO.org provide oncology professionals with information on the latest developments in cancer research. The Society's comprehensive online database of oncology-related research abstracts presented at ASCO meetings dates back to 1995. The abstracts on ASCO.org include links to related Virtual Meeting presentations, additional abstracts and PubMed citations.
Virtual Meetings: Virtual Meetings present the results of the latest clinical cancer research by oncology professionals involved in multidisciplinary clinical cancer care. ASCO's Virtual Meetings feature more than 25,000 oral presentations, abstracts and posters from meetings dating back to 1999 and represent the most comprehensive collection of oncology-related multimedia lectures available on the Web.
Online Portals: The ASCO online platform now features disease-specific information through portal sites. These “Cancer Portals” are organized thematically to give visitors easier access to information and to enable better utilization of available information on a specific cancer type. Podcast on ASCO.org: ASCO delivers a variety of podcasts that are available via computer or portable MP3 player. The podcast format allows automatic delivery of the latest oncology presentations, news and commentary making it convenient to stay informed--on the road, at home or in the office.
Cancer.Net: ASCO's award winning patient information website features trusted information on more than 120 types of cancer and cancer-related syndromes as well as helpful information on clinical trials, managing side effects, coping and survivorship.
